Retaliation

The law prohibits retaliation against employees who complain about illegal activities or working conditions which violate safety regulations. Employees who report or complain about discrimination or harassment or participate in and investigation or hearing are also protected from retaliation by their employers.

Retaliation can take the form of termination, demotion or pay cuts or can be expressed as verbal harassment or simply making life miserable for an employee with the intention of driving them to quit. If your employer is retaliating against you contact an attorney before you resign to determine how quitting can effect any legal claim you might have. Contact Neumann Law if you have been retaliated against by your employer for a free consultation to determine your legal rights.
